Holmsley New Forest Campsite camping in tents and caravans for all the family.

The Holmsley New Forest campsite is the ideal camping experience in the New Forest for all the family to enjoy,
whether you are camping or caravanning.
Camping on this mainly grassy site means lots of space for children to play. This is the ideal site for safe cycling with all the family and lots of long walks too.
Latest news for luxury camping in 2012 The New Forest Holmsley campsite will not have Safari tents or Ready tents for 2012. Eurocamp decided to pull out of UK camping late last year (2011) and unfortunately this meant they took their luxury tents with them. It was too late for the Forestry Commission to set up an alternative for the 2012 season.
You can still see my
Safari tent review
as I hope 2013 will have this facility again.
It is a great campsite for a seaside break as Holmsley is just a short drive
from the wonderful beaches at Bournemouth and Christchurch.

If you need to look further afield in other parts of the UK here is a great place to start searching.......

Holmsley New Forest Campsite, like many others was once a WW11 airfield. You can still see evidence of this and it means that it is an ideal place for long, flat walks and safe cycles for all the family. The flatness also means that it is wheelchair friendly too!
Find out about WW2 and the Holmsley Airfield on my

page and lots of other fascinating history for the area during wartime.

Would you like to be part of my monthly ezine New Forest Life Tales?
You can subscribe and it is free. You can be assured your details will not be passed on, they will only be used, by me, to send you this monthly update on what is happening on the beautiful New Forest and some of the animal adventures that happen to me.

Just a short journey along the coast is Mudeford - the children can try catching crabs on a bit f string here - it will keep them amused for hours - and most days at least one catch is made!

This windswept New Forest pony is right at the edge of the sea - grazing in a very stiff breeze!
Look out for them on your visit.
