My New Forest Deer Gallery

New Forest fallow deer - at last I'm getting a bit closer!

New Forest deer are hard to photograph - especially if you are a very amateur photographer - but..... I can only improve.

I stumble around, hiding behind bushes and then take the shot ...just as they decide to leg it!

Enjoy my efforts as they can only improve!

New Forest Fallow deer - my first glimpse I set out today to try to take some pictures of the local New Forest fallow deer. They really are hard to photograph!
New Forest Fallow Deer - on the run! I was amazed, as I stumbled through the dead bracken and heather, hidden amongst the gorse were these New Forest fallow deer. A huge herd, all sizes, colours and ages.
New Forest Fallow Deer not wanting to be photographed! At last a closer New Forest fallow deer shot! Chris packham has nothing to worry about!

These New Forest deer are much more uniform in their brown coats, but are still very, very shy and hard to capture.

New Forest Fallow Deer not wanting to be photographed! New Forest fallow deer, like all the deer on the New Forest are very, very shy and hard to capture. I was hiding behind gorse and creeping up, willing them not to move.

New Forest Fallow deer - look at all these heads! I couldn't believe how many New Forest fallow deer were in this herd. It was the biggest I'd ever seen - upwards of 60 New Forest Fallow deer.
New Forest Fallow Deer - count those heads! I was amazed, these New Forest fallow deer went from pure white to very, very dark brown. There were also a couple of males with beautiful antlers.
New Forest Fallow Deer not wanting to be photographed - again! By now we'd all gone in a circle. I'd trampled across the muddy bracken and dead heather and come back to the New Forest edge and so had they! Spot the white one!

So, that's my attempt at photographing New Forest Fallow Deer. Pretty poor photos but at least I got some this time - this means I can only get better!

Watch this space for better pics in the future! New Forest Fallow Deer in a bit more detail

Here they all are - looking back at me!
