ron cook was living in reading ww11

I remember seeing a lone German bomber approaching from south to north around noon. He veered toward Reading and the bombs hit the peoples pantry. He returned right over me, very low, so low I could see crew members looking out. Scary at the time and I will never forget that moment in time.

Thanks for sharing this WW2 experience with us all today Ron. I can understand why it has stayed in your memory until today.
This is the sort of story and experience we need to share with each other so that a different perspective can be put on the beautiful New Forest and we can all remember what WW2 was really like, for those who were part of it at the time.
Thank you again
Christina
