Holmsley Campsite New Forest is the ideal camping experience in the New Forest for all the family to enjoy, whether you are using your tent or caravan or motorhome.
Camping on this mainly grassy site means lots of space for children to play. This is the ideal site for safe cycling with all the family and lots of long walks too. It is a great site for a seaside break as Holmsley Campsite New Forest is just a short drive from the wonderful beaches at Bournemouth, Mudeford, Highcliffe and Christchurch areas.
As you can see the view across from Mudeford to the Isle of Wight is stunning. Crabbing for the kids here too!
Latest news for luxury camping: there wont be any Safari tents or Ready tents at the 10 campsites now or in the future. Eurocamp decided to pull out of UK camping lin 2011 and unfortunately this meant they took their luxury tents with them.
They're also not suitable for the New Forest environment. You can still see my Safari tent review if you decide to go further afield than the New Forest National Park though.

A bit of wartime history
Holmsley Campsite New Forest, like many others was once a WW11 airfield. You can still see evidence of this and it means that it is an ideal place for long, flat walks and safe cycles for all the family. The flatness also means that it is wheelchair friendly too!
Find out about WW2 and the Holmsley Airfield on my New Forest Airfields page and lots of other fascinating history for the area during wartime.
Would you like to be part of my monthly ezine New Forest Life Tales?
You can subscribe and it is free. You can be assured your details will not be passed on, they will only be used, by me, to send you this monthly update on what is happening on the beautiful New Forest and some of the animal adventures that happen to me.
Lymington Quay Hill - a short drive from the Holmsley site
Just a short journey along the coast is Mudeford - the children can try catching crabs on a bit of string here - it will keep them amused for hours - and most days at least one catch is made!
This windswept New Forest pony is right at the edge of the sea - grazing in a very stiff breeze! Look out for them on your visit.
I hope you enjoy your stay at Holmsley Campsite in the beautiful New Forest National Park and you have great days out at the coast as well as the forest. Don't forget the map!
