To make it easier for you the listings will be headlined as
Here are some dog friendly hotels I can recommend.
Please feel free to contact me with your experiences of where you've stayed with your dog in the New Forest, if you want to. That way we can share our experiences with other dog owners for their future visits too.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Bell Inn at Bramshaw You can actually combine dog friendly accommodation and a round of golf here. There are 2 golf courses and a pro shop on site. Or invite your much loved dog at your wedding ceremony. They love our 4 legged friends here!
Here's why we loved our dog friendly stay
Dog rooms are limited and on the ground floor with a current charge of £10 per dog for one night or £15 per stay (please check).
The Master Builder's Hotel at Buckler's Hard is a fantastic setting next to the Beaulieu river. Not only can your dog stay here but you can order room service for them too!
New Park Manor Hotel in Brockenhurst welcomes you and your dog with their very own whippet Daisy. There is a standard £10 per night charge for dog stays here and you will be in the heart of the New Forest, with fantastic off road walks and spectacular views of local deer, possibly from your room.
The Balmer Lawn Hotel in Brockenhurst really welcomes you and your dog, which is always reassuring. You can check out specific dog friendly rooms using their look before you book facility. You do have to book in advance and like most of the hotels I recommend there is a nightly "dog charge" of £20 per dog per night. You take your own dog food and bedding, which is a good idea. We don't want any upset tummies due to a diet change when staying in a hotel do we? (Believe me we've been there, done that, and it was very, very embarassing!)
I've just discovered this New Forest dog friendly hotel. The Stanwell House Hotel in Lymington is in the Georgian market town and can definitely offer you the chance to explore the coast, the New Forest and lots of lovely shops and pubs too. They welcome dogs and the rooms can provide you with a doggy blanket, biscuits and poo bags too! They've thought of everything!
As well as hotels in the New Forest National Park perhaps you may be looking for B&B type accommodation which welcomes dogs? I haven't visited these types yet but if you use Tripadvisor you will hopefully get a better idea of what is on offer for you and your much loved pooch.
Warning: you may have heard of dogs becoming ill after walking in the New Forest. Visit my dog illness page for my updates.
Hopefully you will find the perfect New Forest hotel break accommodation for you and your dog.
I'll keep adding more and more info and if you have anything you want to share with others please Contact Me and I can pass it on. I hope both you and your dog enjoy your trip to the beautiful New Forest and it is really one you'll always treasure.
Don't forget to Contact me if you find somewhere and want to ask me a question - hopefully I know, or can find out the answer!
