Badgers

Where can one go to see Badgers I the New Forest.

We are on holiday here from Jersey and would love to see a badger.

Sadly you will find seeing a badger very difficult. They are wild animals who are mainly out at night. In all my years of living here I’ve only seen a live one once - we startled each other on a track by walking towards each other on a track in the dark. Sorry to disappoint.

Hi. The sighting of wild Badgers is almost impossible to accomplish as an ad hoc or opportunistic event. As the previous comment stated, they are nocturnal and only active at night. You w oukd also need to have knowledge of the location of the Badger Sets. These are protected. You may see some at the local wild life parks, please Google. Thank you for your interest in the local fauna, and I hope you are a Badger in your visit, they are very handsome and interesting animals.
