We went to quite a few fairs and farmers markets through the spring and summer and tasted lots of cheese samples on various stalls.
Our favourite overall was the Garlic and Nettle by Loosehanger Cheeses. I'm now tempted to use nettles in soups and as a vegetable next year when they go wild in a plot of land near us.
Not only do you not smell of garlic the next day but the nettle doesn't sting your mouth either. With fresh crusty bread and local creamy butter it made us a lovely lunch time snack!
