Saturday 22 October, 5:00pm, Coming out of Brinken Wood and into the open area of Warwickslade Cutting - a magical moment watching a white deer and four others, including what looked like two fawns because they were much smaller, grazing and watching us intently. Then, quick as a flash they looked in the opposite direction and ran towards Bolderwood, and a few moments later came running back to gather beneath a tree. A lovely end to a day's walking in the Forest. (Unfortunately our camera does not have a good enough zoom lens.)
Thanks for sharing this magic moment with us Simon. They are really hard to capture aren't they?
That's why my deer photos are a "work in progress!" It's always nice to hear when someone has a very special nature experience in the New Forest.
